A hammam is a traditional steam bathing ritual with roots in ancient Eastern wellness culture, practiced across the Middle East, North Africa, and Greece for centuries. At Niche Spa, our hammam experience takes place in a beautifully designed steam environment inspired by this tradition.
A typical hammam ritual involves gentle steam to open the pores, followed by a thorough full-body exfoliation using a traditional kessa mitt, and a cleansing foam massage. The result is deeply cleansed, silky-smooth skin and a profound sense of relaxation.
Our hammam treatments are available in 60- and 90-minute experiences, depending on the ritual selected. All hammam sessions are performed privately for a more personalized and relaxing experience.
Swimwear is required for hammam treatments. For women, a bikini is recommended for greater comfort during the ritual.
Yes. Guests can enjoy access to our spa facilities, including the relaxing pool and traditional hammam, without booking a massage treatment. Our heated jacuzzi, designed for up to 5 guests, as well as the relaxation area with sun loungers, are included in the spa facility access experience.
Facility access is available to both hotel guests and outside visitors, subject to availability. Advance reservation is required. We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to settle in. Please bring a swimsuit for pool and hammam use; towels, bathrobes, and slippers are provided.
niche spa is open daily from 10:00 to 19:00, 365 days a year, including public holidays. Last appointments are accepted at 17:30 for a standard 60-minute treatment, to allow guests a relaxed experience without rushing.

The ancient findings were discovered in the 1960s during the construction of the building and include parts of the ancient Walls of Athens and the Valerian Wall, as well as remains connected to the Gymnasium of Cynosarges. Guests can also see sections of the ancient water conduit that once linked the center of Athens to the Ilissos River.

For regular weekdays, we recommend booking 1-2 days in advance. For weekends and peak periods (summer months and public holidays), we suggest booking 5-6 days ahead to secure your preferred time slot and therapist.
We kindly ask that cancellations be made at least 24 hours before your appointment. This allows us to offer your slot to other guests.
We understand that schedules don’t always run perfectly, so if you are running a little late, please let us know as soon as possible. As a courtesy, we allow a grace period of up to 15 minutes, after which your treatment time may need to be shortened to avoid delays for the next appointment. Alternatively, if your schedule permits, we will happily reschedule your session.
Yes. We have both male and female therapists available. If you have a preference, please let us know when booking by email or select your preferred therapist directly through our online booking system. We will always do our best to accommodate your request, subject to availability.
Couples are welcome to enjoy their spa experience together at niche spa. While we do not offer specific couples-only treatments, guests may book any massage or spa treatment simultaneously in the same treatment room.

niche spa welcomes both adults and younger guests. We offer specialized massage treatments for children and teenagers up to 16 years old, always with parental consent and supervision.
Children are also welcome to use the spa facilities, including the heated jacuzzi area, provided they are always accompanied and supervised by a parent.
